Kratos Technology & Training Solutions was awarded a $446.8 million U.S. Space Force OTA on March 20, 2026 to provide ground management and integration for the Resilient Missile Warning & Tracking (MWT) Medium Earth Orbit constellation. Coverage from GovCon Wire.
The constellation Kratos supports
- Epoch 1: Boeing-subsidiary Millennium Space Systems is delivering 12 MEO satellites
- Epoch 2: BAE Systems satellites expected to begin deliveries in FY2029
- Kratos provides cost-reimbursement ground integration covering both epochs
Why MEO instead of GEO?
MEO sensors offer faster revisit and better hypersonic-tracking geometry than legacy SBIRS-style GEO assets. Pairing a MEO infrared layer with the Space Development Agency's Tranche 3 LEO tracking layer creates the multi-orbit fabric the Pentagon wants for Golden Dome.
What to do
- Ground-station / TT&C firms: Kratos is the integrator — engage on antenna and waveform subs
- Mission-data-processing shops: real-time IR detection-to-track pipelines need new pipeline tooling
